BASKERVILLE BOOKLET
Typography
This booklet design focused on showcasing the font Baskerville. The large cropped letters are meant to display the contrast in the thicks and thins of the strokes and use them more like an image rather than text. The color purple was chosen to reference to the color of the ink John Baskerville also created, which was described as "purple-black" color. Stacking letters, cropping letters, and using a consistent flow-line gave the booklet continuity.

GRIMM BOOK SERIES
Typography
These booklets utilize distorted type and scribbled line illustrations to emphasize the dark side of the Grimm fairy tales. The accordion style booklet maintains a level of playfulness that is also present in the fairy tales.

NO SHORTCUTS
Typography
Here I played around with illustrating the meaning of the phrase "No Shortcuts. Work for it." with the actual letterforms. I had a lot of fun with the challenge of keeping the phrase legible while still cutting it apart as well as coming up with many variations.
