EARTH'S BEST

Logo Redesign

My logo concept for Earth's Best comes from their original emblem logo featuring a farm. The farm is an important visual element because it carries the message of earth and soil producing high quality, organic, nutritional food. A clean line art style gives the farm emblem a more contemporary look while still communicating that the brand serves children through a bright color scheme. The color variations function to distinguish which products are intended for babies at particular stages of development.

TEMPERLY PHARMACEUTICALS

Logo Design

My logo concept for the fictional company, Temperly Pharmaceuticals, hints at the caduceus, one of the most highly recognizable medical symbols, helping make the market for the brand unambiguous. This allows the company to more easily establish their presence among well-known brands in the same market.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Logo Redesign

It is especially important to make sure science and technology related brands maintain an advanced and innovative image so as not to appear outdated. My logo concept for Science Olympiad involved using a circular shape to imply planet Earth. The illustration is of an atom cropped in the circular shape. It references back to the latitude and longitude lines and continent shapes of the original logo, but serves to be a much fresher and more ambiguous logo for a brand that focuses on many aspects of science. It also has a lot of dynamic movement making the brand feel very energetic, which I thought was appropriate in getting K-12 students more excited and interested in the brand.

THE NAG'S HEAD

Logo Redesign

My logo concept for The Nag's Head involved pairing an emblem logo with vintage style lettering to emphasize the history of the pub. Using these elements also helps the brand have an authentic feel, which is important to them since they strive to maintain an authentic atmosphere in their pub by asking guests to stay off of their phones.

OAKLAND ARTS REVIEW

Logo Redesign

My logo concept for The Oakland Arts Review involved combining the imagery of a book and an oar. The oar shape helps make the logo more memorable and unconventional. The oar shape also resembles a shield shape often used in scholarly logos, which works well as The Oakland Arts Review is a university press that often publishes the work of undergraduates.
