Campaign Series
One of the most important things I wanted to emphasize about the Scrap Lab event at the charity Arts & Scraps was that they are family friendly and have lots of fun activities and crafts for children. I also wanted to more clearly provide information about the event and what is included. Creating an effective web design would be a successful way to reach and appeal to parents because they are more tech savvy than previous generations. Having merchandise like t-shirts and tote bags encourages people to support the organization.

Rebranding & Marketing
My logo redesign uses a bold, pictorial mark of a wide eye. Wide eyes imply that there is something horrifying being viewed, which works perfectly for Screambox. It suggests that viewers will be terrified of the content on Screambox and won’t be able to look away. The uppercase letters make the word feel as though it was being screamed and the condensed letterforms mimic the stretching a mouth does as it screams. I also updated the website design to provide a more cinematic experience and designed print material in the style of a movie poster to advertise the brand. Guerrilla marketing tactics were also utilized.

LIGHTHOUSE OF OAKLAND COUNTY
Rebranding
Having existed for 43 years, Lighthouse has offered help to countless families in need. Therefore, it was important that this logo communicated the idea of strength and reliability. The strong dynamic waves that seem able to overtake the lighthouse structure allude to the struggles that those who turn to Lighthouse often face. The geometric structure of a lighthouse rising above the waves serves as a symbol of hope and reliability through its strength. The form conveys the idea of “strength in adversity” and connects to the idea that Lighthouse is a reliable source of aid to those in need. Another goal for this logo design was to update the visual imagery of Lighthouse as a brand through the use of a flat graphic style and more modernized typefaces.
